        This picture is the best illustration of  what really goes on in QuakeII. If you have a weak heart, don't even play this game! As for me, I'm addicted to it. Everyday I join many thousands of other addicts online and try to kill them repeatedly. I do have some favorite places to play though. They are the 21+, and all the servers running the Chaos mod.

        QuakeII has been around awhile, and 3rd party groups have made more skins, maps, and total conversions (makeovers) for the game, which has expanded the enjoyability and playability of an already incredible game. My favorite modification of the game has got to be the ChAoS mod by Chaotic Dreams.If you own QuakeII you have got to go to their website. You wont regret it. Here is a link to it...

         Quake3 Arena will be out in mid 1999. Every game that comes out claims to break new ground in technology, the last several havent. Quake 3 will, not because it looks so much better, even though it really will with true curved surrfaces, but because of its focus on improved internet stability. Less traffic is needed between the server and the client computers, because the stronger home computers of today can take more of the load. This promises to look better but more importantly, it will play more stably over the internet. Here are some sites that cover this new game indepth. Quake 3 is gonna rock!

        When you're ready to play online you'll need a program to find an internet game for you. The most popular is Gamespy, and it is good and user friendly, but PingTool is much stronger though not as pretty and simple to use as Gamespy. Go to their sites and get both of them, you'll see what I mean.

       In order to keep in touch with your fellow addicts, you should use ICQ. Handy little gadget that makes communication simple. Go ahead, download it.

        Finally, Quake2 is constantly changing. In order to keep up with all the new developments of this game there are literally hundreds of sites to go to. These are the best ones though. If you go to these you shouldnt ever need to go anywhere else.
